Hello . . .
My name is Cat. I live with my husband in Bradenton, Florida. I have worked as a freelance graphic designer for twelve years and have a marketing and communications background. Originally from Vancouver, Canada, I graduated the Visual and Performing Arts Program then traveled throughout North America as a sound engineer.

I settled in Bradenton and felt a call to return to art. I enrolled in the graphic design technology program at Manatee Community College and knew immediately that I had found my destiny.

I began designing publications then quickly became interested in web design. I am mainly "self-taught" but have taken several web design and HTML classes that helped me understand the technical side, which is ever-changing and a very necessary element in the design mix.

I recently completed a marketing course. This knowledge has benefited my career as a designer. I understand the client's business on a deeper level which helps the creative process. Design ideas flow easier for me when I can put myself in my client's shoes.

My philosophy is, "have fun doing what you love but recognize the valuable learning opportunities offered in each project."
